Arizona Values

I will guarantee a return to the traditional values and concerns of Arizona, and I will maintain the long-standing western conservative course that has been a mainstay in our daily lives. I am committed to preserving the desert and slowing down unchecked growth. I support managed growth in order to preserve our natural environment and quiet skies. Education

The entire educational system needs to be reformed. A complete overhaul is necessary from top to bottom. I will work to improve the educational system for our children and to make Arizona a forerunner in American education. I support higher salaries for teachers, smaller classrooms, and increased funding for our universities. I will seek the finest education possible for all our children, with every classroom wired for the Internet, and technology programs to take our schools and universities into the forefront of the 21st century.

I support school choice, the parent's right to choose, and voucher programs.

Taxes

I pledge to be a leader in continuing tax reductions for the citizens of our state. A strong economy does not mean more taxes.

Careful Legislation

I will work effectively with my fellow senators in the Arizona Legislature to solve the problems of our state in order to achieve the American Dream. I will work diligently to craft laws for the good of the citizens. There is no reason to create "make-do" legislation. Our laws must have merit, high standards, and meet the needs of the people. I will work hard to make all of our laws consistent with the original intentions of the founders of this great nation and state, as reflected in the United States and Arizona Constitutions.
